Michael Ammons Obituary
Mike was a kind, hardworking, loyal, adventurous, and funny man-honest to a fault-whose presence could light up a room. He had a deep love for his family and friends, the outdoors, music, fishing, hunting, his work, and helping others. He lived his life with integrity, heart, humor, strength, and patience. Those who knew him will remember his unmistakable laugh, his generosity, his steady presence, and the very best hugs.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristine Rumore, and son-in-law Jason Rumore; his grandson, Daniel Ammons; his soulmate, Pamela McLaughlin, his siblings, sister Shay Taylor, brother Cleve Ammons and wife Amanda, and sister Cathy Schroepfer and husband Jeff; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Ammons; his father, Robert Heibert; and his wife, Kathy Ammons.
Though his time with us was far too short, Mike made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the love given, and the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026, in Streetman, Texas.
