A man of many interests, Michael enjoyed cheering for the 49ers, golfing, basketball, puzzles, camping, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family on vacations, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by his loved ones.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; his sons, Michael and his wife Ayla; David and his wife Traci; and William and his wife Sigrid. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of love and kindness. Also survived by his brother Philip and sister-in-law Carol.
