With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Michael "Bake" Paul Baker of Atlanta, Georgia, on January 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistic passion. Michael is survived by his sister, Patricia Corso, brother-in-law, Josef Z Perry, Paige Perry, step-niece of Redwood, WY, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the United States and Spain. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Robert B Baker; his mother, Maria Baker-Bosco; and his beloved niece, Rachel Corso.
Michael was born on August 15, 1965, in Roswell, New Mexico. At a young age, Michael's family moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire where he graduated from Portsmouth Senior High School. After graduating high school, Michael moved to Boston to attend the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he cultivated his creative spirit while developing a deep appreciation for all types of art.
Following his academic pursuits, he embarked on a career that would become a significant chapter of his life. From 1988 to 1992, Michael dedicated his talents and energy to Hard Rock Cafe Boston, leaving an indelible mark on the establishment during those formative years. His commitment and passion for his work continued when he transferred to Hard Rock Atlanta in 1992, where he remained an integral part of the team until 2022. He was amazing at his job and trained hundreds of managers from all over the world, going through the MIT program.
Micheal's friends and colleagues became his family over the years. A man who would do absolutely anything for you. Beyond his professional life, Michael was a man of diverse interests and unwavering devotion. He had a profound love for the musical stylings of Tool, finding solace and inspiration in their artistry. A sports enthusiast at heart, Michael was a devoted fan of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox. His loyalty to these teams was a testament to his passion for his hometown and the camaraderie he found in shared victories and defeats.
As we bid farewell to Michael Paul Baker, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives, the creativity he shared, and the connections he fostered. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the melodies of his favorite music and the warmth of the memories he leaves behind.
Celebrations of Life will be held at Hard Rock Café (215 Peachtree Street) Saturday, February 10 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and Industry Tavern (3280 Peachtree Road #187) Saturday, February 24 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
