Michael Barley Obituary

Michael Lynn Barley, known to all as Mike, passed away on December 29, 2025, just two days before what would have been his 62nd birthday. Mike lived his life with an adventurous spirit and an infectious enthusiasm that touched everyone who knew him.

Mike had a passion for living life to the fullest, always ready to seize the moment and push boundaries. Whether he was riding motorcycles, riding at Extreme mud park, snow skiing, or navigating the open waters on his boat, Mike embraced every adventure with wholehearted joy.

A beloved figure in his community, Mike, was known for his warm presence and generous spirit. The neighborhood children adored him as he would treat them like his own. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel welcome and valued.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Debbie Barley, to whom he was married for 33 years. The two met in 5th grade through their mutual friend Donald, and their love story began with the same adventurous spirit that would define their life together. Even in those early days, Mike's daredevil nature was evident-as Mike & Donald would have Debbie & her girlfriends lay at bottom of ramp so they could jump over them with bikes. Mike also leaves behind his daughter Lauren and son-in-law Andrew Pouland; his cherished grandsons Hudson, Hayden, and Harlow; his sisters Linda and her husband Steve Fields, and Brenda and her husband Frank Simmons. He also leaves behind his loving nieces: Ashley and her husband Michael Webb, Morgan and her husband Blake Morphew, and Kara and her husband Cody McFadden, as well as Jaxon, Braydon, Linley, Josey, and Clara. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend Donald, with whom his adventures began-riding dirt bikes, or any kind of bikes for that matter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. He is also survived by his best friend Chris, who lived across the street and had many adventures and memories to reminisce about. He is also survived by his best friend Derrick, who he met when he moved to Crosby, Tx. Their friendship was instant. They had a special bond they shared that is very precious to find.

Mike's legacy is one of adventure, love, and living life on the edge. He taught those around him to embrace every moment, take chances, and find joy in the journey. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
