Mr. Michael T. Bass, age 37, of Roxboro, NC, departed this life Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Durham, NC November 6, 1984 to the late Ralph Pete and Sandra Paylor Bass, made his home in Person County and was a former member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Roxboro.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents: Fletcher Paylor and Christine R. Paylor; an aunt, Wanda Paylor: a special cousin, Christopher V. Paylor; and uncles: Sterling, Larry, Ronnie and Donald Paylor.
He is survived by three foster children: Sioux Scott, Mark Scott and Divine Scott, all of Roxboro, NC; one brother, Terren Bass of Roxboro; an aunt, Vicky Paylor, also of Roxboro; uncles: Randy Paylor of Durham and Ricky Paylor, also of Roxboro; like-a-brother, Ernest "Peanut" Johnson," also of Roxboro; and a host of other additional relatives and friends.
The Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Johnson, Pastor of Zion Christian Center, providing the eulogy and Minister Donald McDaniels, Associate Minister at Zion Christian Center, officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 414 Jones Street, Roxboro, NC 27573.
Attendance at the service is limited to sixty individuals and guests are pre-determined by the family. Please check with the family before the day of the service to confirm that your name is on the guest list.
Face masks and social distancing are required.
