Michael E. "Gene" Bennett

Michael E. "Gene" Bennett, age 73, of Senoia, passed away on February 13, 2026. He was born on July 12, 1952 to the late Ernest William and Mary Lou Bennett. He was also preceded in death by his siblings; Howard Bennett, Donald Bennett, Joyce Cox and Gary Bennett. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a active member in his church. He is survived by his wife; Renee, his children; Christopher M. (Abigail) Bennett of Barnesville, Jennifer (Phillip) Thomas 0f Senoia, grandchildren; MaryAnn (Kenneth) Whitelock, Caroline (Trey) Arnold, Taylor Thomas, Andrew Thomas, great grandchildren, Asher Prescott, Makenna Whitelock, Eloise Whitelock, special aunts, Ruth and Pat, several nieces, a nephew, cousins and extended family. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, February 16, 2026 at New Beginning Baptist Church, 973 Standing Rock Rd, Senoia, GA 30276.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. The interment will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA.
