February 22, 1954 – June 3, 2025
Michael "Mike" Anthony Bordino, 71, of Indian Land, SC, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital.
Born on February 22, 1954, in Richmond Hill, New York, Mike was known for his warmth, humor, and his gift for storytelling. He could share a tale on just about anything, often leaving those around him laughing, reflecting, or both. His stories and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mike had a love of sports, especially football, and there was not a DIY project that he wouldn’t tackle. A nostalgic at heart, he loved old-time shows and classic movies, often quoting iconic lines with uncanny accuracy, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and memorable moments.
Mike dedicated over 27 years of his professional life to Rice Lake Weighing Systems, where he was a respected and tenured employee until his retirement in 2023. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bozena, of the home; his mother, Elizabeth DiGregorio of Florida; stepmother, Barbara Bordino of Florida; sister, Michele O'Donnell, of Florida; step-brothers, Brendan Shaw (Dara) of New York, Keith Shaw (Jana) of Texas; son, Christopher Bordino (Charlotte) of Virginia; daughter, Kimberly Solis (Steven) of Florida; and stepdaughter, Anik Barnes (Alton) of North Carolina. He also leaves behind his nephew, Patrick O'Donnell (Shelby); niece, Megan Naum (Ryan); and his cherished grandchildren: Emma, Margaret, Anthony, Autumn, Felicity, Ethan, Henry, Gisella and Vincent.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Angelo Bordino.
