COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Michael Dale Boswell, a dedicated genealogy researcher, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. He was born on December 16, 1961, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and graduated from Putnam County Senior High in 1980.
Michael was known for his kind and considerate nature, often exhibiting a quiet yet impactful presence in the lives of those around him. He was a son devoted to caring for both his parents. He was a private individual who found joy in the great outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature through various activities.
An engaged member of his community, Michael was proud to be affiliated with organizations such as the Sons of Confederacy, Ducks Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association. His commitment to these groups reflected his passion for history, conservation, and outdoor sports.
Michael is survived by his beloved mother, Vivian Boswell, and his uncle, Maurice Boswell.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Boswell, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him, as well as the many lives he touched through his work and passions.
