Michael Lee Bowman, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, departed this life on August 7, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on June 27, 1959, in Goshen, Indiana, Mike brought warmth and light to the lives of everyone he encountered. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.

Mike's life was a testament to the values he held dear-kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Amanda, and a loving father to his children, Shanna (Joe), Zachary (Lindsey), Alexander (Rose), and stepsons Robert (Erin), Jonathan (Sara) and Correy (Jackie). Mike was a wonderful papa to his grandchildren. Mike was also a cherished brother to Jeff Bowman (Karen) and sister of his heart Diane Rivas. His faith as a Christian provided him with strength and comfort during his final days.

Throughout his life, Mike's kind nature was evident in everything he did. He had an innate ability to uplift others and extend a helping hand whenever it was needed. His generosity knew no bounds, and he often went out of his way to support those around him and his community, whether through his time, resources, or a simple, heartfelt word of encouragement.

An avid traveler and golf enthusiast, Mike found joy in exploring new destinations and hitting the links with friends and family. His love for travel was more than a hobby, it was a way for him to connect with the world and the people in it. He would often recount tales of his adventures with a twinkle in his eye and a contagious enthusiasm that inspired others to embark on their own journeys.

Mike will be remembered not only for what he did but for how he made people feel. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Mike's legacy is one of warmth, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.

As we reflect on Mike's life, we are reminded of the impact one individual can have on so many. His spirit will continue to live on through the lives of his family and the countless people he touched. He has left an indelible mark on this world, and though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created will be cherished forever.

In honor of his remarkable life, we celebrate Mike Bowman-a man of virtue, a pillar of his community, and a beacon of love and light. His story does not end here, because his influence will ripple through generations, and his presence will always be felt by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6th at 11:00am at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 705 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, FL 34698.

A reception will follow at Cretan Cultural Center, 1821 Curlew Rd., Palm Harbor, FL 34683
