It was so saddening to hear of his passing. Mike was a good friend and I know he's greatly missed...

Mike and I went to school together and while at TL Weston (10 th) grade we challenged me to a race. During lunch we left the school went around Broadway loop, and was to go 3 streets down turn and go back to the school. Well Mike turned before hand but I still beat him back to the school. He was always a true friend to anyone he met. No matter where or when I would see him he never changed. He will be missed by many.

I'm so sorry to hear of your passing, Mike. I remember you calling the office the morning that the planes hit the Twin Towers. We had a chuckle as I think we both thought it was small planes, although it would have been a tragedy just as much. I didn't actually know what the towers were at that time nor did I ever expect it was jets that flew into the building. Over the years, I have appreciated your expertise. You have gotten me through some legal messes. You will always be remembered Mike and my thoughts and prayers are with Don and with all your family and friends. Rest in peace.

I had the honor of meeting Mike through his spouse, my dear friend Don. Upon meeting Mike, I was impressed with his warm and welcoming presence. His stories, his humor, accomplishments and compassion, truly made him one of a kind. I can confidently say, there are very few people like Mike Boyd. He was such a wonderful entertainer, host and chef. He spoke so lovingly of his mother and was just a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed. Mike and his family will remain in my thoughts as they grief the loss of this wonderful man.

I met Mike in 1974 in a Political Science class at USM. His affable nature and spirit led us to becoming fast friends and developing a brotherly relationship that endured up until his death. I always referred to him as 'little brother' and I believe he liked that. Mike was always concerned about the other guy and he never really met a stranger. He was a kind and generous and good soul who would stand up for you and by you if you needed him or if you asked. Thank you Mike for all of the conversations and laughs we had and do know little brother that I will miss you and that I wish you God Speed.
