Michael "Mike" Kevin Bradley, 68, of Dixon, IL, passed away after a brief but aggressive cancer diagnosis on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL, surrounded by his loving family. He was a self-employed barber.
Mike was born on October 13, 1957, in Sterling, IL, the son of Robert Eugene and Margaret Ann (Weaver) Bradley, Sr. He married the love of his life, Kimberly Ost, on June 18, 1988. Mike was a farm-boy at heart and loved growing up on his grandpa's farm. He and Kim even spent part of their life together raising cattle. Mike had the best laugh in the world; the kind that filled a room and made everyone else laugh right along with him (most often it could be said that his laugh was funnier than the joke itself). Mike found joy in nature and in being outdoors, especially his trees, or watching birds. He also loved The Beatles, listening to music, watching sports, "The Three Stooges" and classic old-time Westerns. Of all these things, Mike most treasured the time he spent with his wife, his son and daughter-in-law, and his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kimberly Ost Bradley; his son, Caleb (Melissa) Bradley; two grandchildren, Kellan and Landon Bradley, all of Dixon; four siblings, Patricia (Robert) Hinshaw of Birmingham, AL, Robert (Amy) Bradley, Jr., of Gardendale, AL, Craig (Lori) Bradley of Williamsburg, WI, Sheri (Edward) Malone of Lacrosse, WI; mother-in-law, Patricia Ost of Dixon; sister-in-law, DeAnna (John) Wilson of Dixon; brother-in-law, Todd (Melissa) Ost of Rochelle, IL; 16 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his father- in-law, William "Bill" Ost.
Per Mike's wishes, Private Family Services are to be held. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Cremation Rites have been accorded
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary's School in Sterling, and/or Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL.
