MOLINE - Michael P. Brems, 76, of Moline, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. A Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Moline High School Choir Department.

Michael Paul Brems was born January, 15, 1949, in Rock Island, Ill., the second child of Louis and Julia (Engles) Brems. He was a 1967 graduate of Moline High School. Mike married Judith Louck August 24, 1971, in Silvis. She passed November 2, 2023. Mike and Judy were foster parents to many children over the years; having adopted several of the children in their care. Mike started his employment with John Deere Harvester, East Moline in 1973. He was a CNC operator, retiring in 2009. Music was near and dear to him. Over the years Mike sang in several bands with many people who became close friends. Retirement gave him a lot of music time. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Hawkeyes fan. Mike did not miss a game. He cherished his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Steven (Maurren) Shadden, Moline, Ill., Joseph Shadden, Moline, Kelly Brems, Rock Island, Julie Brems, Moline, Louis (Beth) Brems, Moline, Casey (Dusty)Felgar, Avon, Ill. and Tony (Courtney) Brems, Orion; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; host nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Julia Brems; his beloved wife, Judy Brems; daughter, Susan Brems; siblings, Imogene Goode, Thomas Brems and Louis Brems, Jr.
