Publish in a newspaper

Michael "Britt" Brittingham, age 78 of Vanderbilt, PA passed away on November 21, 2025 at his residence in Flatwoods. Mike was born October 26, 1947, in Delmar DE to his parents, Wallace and Mabel Brittingham. A graduate of Delmar DE High School, he served proudly in the US Navy as a Seabee. Following his military duty, he worked in construction as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and was particularly fond of warm weather seasons. He preferred to drive when travelling as a road trip adventure was more exciting to him than airplane turbulence. His sense of humor was infectious, and he easily spread good cheer amongst friends and relatives and never met a stranger.

Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandy Brittingham. He was very proud of his daughters Jayme and husband Matt Fullerton of Vanderbilt; Joan (Joanie) Brittingham and husband Michael Berg of New York City NY; and Kathryn (Kate) Brittingham and husband Lyle Warren of Vanderbilt. He adored his four grandchildren: Laurelin and Kevin Fullerton, Andy Reed and Eleanor Warren. In addition, he is survived by brothers Stuart (Laura) Brittingham, Laurel DE; Shawn (Rosie) Brittingham of Delmar DE; Gordon (Cynthia) Brittingham of Kennesaw GA; sister Genelle (Parks) Byrd of Salisbury MD., several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and loved ones who will remember him fondly. His golden retriever, Sadie will miss him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Jeff Brittingham and Rennie Brittingham.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories, Inc., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA and Monday, December 1st from 10:00 am to 11:00 am the hour of service. Internment will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery with Military Rites by Amvets Post 103

The family thanks the caregivers of AHN Hospice including Kayla, Pam, Maggie, Katherine and the Chaplain Henry for their loving care of Mike.
