Michael Allen Brooks

Michael Allen Brooks, 72, of Perry, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born December 28, 1953 in St. Louis the son of Bill and Della Doud Brooks.

Mike married Diane Rae Thompson on December 8, 1979 in St. Louis and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include his two children; Christina (Kevin) Sondergard of Wentzville and James (Ashlie) Brooks of Wentzville, one brother; Tom (Kat) Brooks of O'Fallon, one sister; Christine (Ken) Stacy of St. Peters, and four grandchildren; Noah Sondergard, Jett, Adalyn, and Mia Brooks along with other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Cathy Hannibal.

Mike spent over forty years working in the heating and cooling business and proudly owned and operated Brooks Heating and Cooling for many years. He was known for his hard work and dedication to his trade.

He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the First Christian Church in Perry located at 302 Salling St. in Perry.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
