Dengel & Son Mortuary - Paola ChapelMichael Eugene Bryan, 73 of Paola Ks, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born February 29, 1952, in McAlester, Ok to Marvin and Zella (Mangrum) Bryan.
On October 21, 1995, he married the love of his life Janet White. Together they shared a fulfilling life raising cattle, riding horses, mending fences, fishing, and loving life together. They were just shy of celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.
After high school, Mike rode bulls, broke horses and became a crane operator, a job he loved. Also drove a truck and later went to work for Walmart Distribution Center for 19 years, and there he met a great friend, Bryan Adams. Then retiring to enjoy fishing and deer hunting, which was his passion in life (especially with his nephew Chad). Mike enjoyed a day on the lake or climbing into a deer stand and watching the sun come up. He also enjoyed his morning breakfast with his buddies at Circle C, those friendships meant a lot to him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Janet: as well as his children. Christi Kettler (John), Shannon Bishop (Tony), and stepdaughter Keri White (Duane Kaiser). Brothers: Marvin Bryan (Debbie), Randy Bryan, Maverick Bryan. Sisters: Denise Fatherree (Terry), Sherry Ray (Jimmy), Grandchildren: Taylor Kettler (Anna), Austin Kettler (Amada), Tristan Loser, Jessica, Brooke, Tony, Chad Bishop, Michael E. Bryan III, Ashlyn, Hailey, Aleigha, and Mason Bryan. Great grandchildren: CJ Twiggs, James and Kate Loser, Henry and Charles Kettler, many nephews, and nieces, as well as many friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son Michael E. Bryan II (Bo) and his sister Marilyn Sue Bowser.
A visitation will be held Saturday September 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Dengel & Son 305 N Pearl St Paola, Ks 66071
