Mr. Michael "Mikey" Edward Bryars Jr, age 27, passed away on September 23, 2024 in Bay Minette, Alabama. He was born on November 30, 1996 and was a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, Alabama.
Mikey loved music and played a range of instruments including keyboard, bass guitar, baritone, and was awarded a scholarship for trombone. He particularly loved rock and heavy metal, a taste he inherited from his father. He was a gamer, comic book collector, and had encyclopedic knowledge of music, DC, Marvel, Pokémon, horror movies, and Power Rangers. He had an enormous and kind heart and greatly loved spending time with family and friends, specifically his nieces and nephews. He loved travelling on cruises to Mexico and had been many times.
Mr. Bryars is preceded in death by his father, Michael Edward Bryars Sr.; grandparents, Clarence Earl (Martha) Bryars Sr.
He is survived by his mother Debra (Robbie) Simpson of Pine Grove, Alabama; brothers, Nik (Brittany) Bryars of Pine Grove, Alabama, Joey (Jordan) Bryars of Pine Grove, Alabama, Jonathan Colton Bryars of Pine Grove, Alabama; sisters, Autumn Simpson of Pine Grove, Alabama, Hailey Simpson of Pine Grove, Alabama; grandparents James (Maria) White of Perdido, Alabama, and Artie Gardner of Perdido, Alabama; nieces, Dylan and Oakleigh; nephew, Charlie; and many other family members.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. with Brother Jimmy Satterfield officiating.
