He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eileen (Brannigan); sons, Michael S. (Lynne) Burmeister of Groton, MA and Brian (Kelly) Burmeister of Hamilton, NJ; grandchildren, Jackson, Madelyn, and Ashley; step-grandson, Jacob; sisters, Josephine (Tito) Acevedo of Raleigh, NC and Virginia (Sal) Petillo of Farmingdale, NY; sister-in-law, Irene Burmeister of Monmouth Junction, NJ; and brother-in-law, John Zube of South Amboy, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He is predeceased by his brother, William Burmeister and a sister, Kathleen Burmeister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, March 10 from 10-12 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ. Memorial services will begin at 12 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).

We are saddened to hear of Uncle Mike's passing. He was such a kind and funny man. We will cherish all the memories of him. Sophia and Dylan will always remember the time they spent laughing with him during his visit to Palm Desert. He was so great with kids! Sending all our love and sincerest condolences.
