Michael G. Butler Jr.

Michael G. Butler Jr., age 59, of "Oak Valley" Deptford Twp., NJ formerly of "Port Richmond" Philadelphia, PA passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Philadelphia to the late Michael G. Butler Sr. and Edna (nee Murray), he graduated from North Catholic High School Class of 1982. He was very athletic and played baseball. Michael was a shipping & packaging clerk for Express Scripts in Bensalem, PA. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies Fan and in his spare time enjoyed playing pool & cards and loved fishing & crabbing. Michael also loved spending time in Wildwood with his family.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Edna Hepworth, Michaelle Millman, Deborah Richards, Kimberly McCloskey; nieces and nephews, Joy Yoshida (Benjamin), Mandie Panas (Gregory), Kelly Logan (Brian), Sean Richards (Lauren), Michele Butler, Dawn Hartman (Jackie), Michael Millman (Amber), Danielle Millman, Robert Millman, Jami Knight (David), Richard Czop; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Joseph Hepworth, William Millman, and Thomas McCloskey.
Family and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 11 am on Saturday, January 13th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be private.
