Mike comes from a large family; he is the son of the late William J Cardinal and Ida M (Aldridge) Cardinal. His late brothers include Eugene P (Lee) Cardinal, Theodore L Cardinal, Arnold G Cardinal, Richard J (Terry) Cardinal, Frank Cardinal, Francis Cardinal. Mike is survived by Eileen M (Don) Harvey, Franklin "Frank" (Joyce) Cardinal, and Darryl L (Kimberly) Cardinal.
Mike was an animal lover. He had two dogs "Sandy" and "Ripp". He enjoyed golfing most of his life and skied when he was younger. He was a season ticket holder of the Bills until his move to Florida in 1994 but continued to watch all Buffalo Bills games. Mike's favorite place to visit was the Charlie Horse in Ormond Beach. He delighted in spending time at the "Boardwalk" in Daytona Beach, especially the "Arcade", and for many years absolutely loved walking the beach.
