John Earl "Jack" Lambright
August 29, 1941 – October 21, 2025
John Earl Lambright, known to family and friends as Jack, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in East Palestine, Ohio, on August 29, 1941, Jack lived a life defined by quiet integrity, deep intellect, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones.
He served in the U.S. Navy while becoming a gifted electrical engineer whose inventive mind led to patented creations over the course of his career. He had a knack for solving problems that left others scratching their heads, and he could fix just about anything-whether it was a complex circuit or a stubborn lawnmower. His brilliance was matched by his humility; he never sought the spotlight, but his work spoke volumes.
Jack met the love of his life, Eleanor, in elementary school. Their bond grew through school dances and shared memories, and they were married for 65 years. Together, they built a life grounded in love, resilience, and quiet joy. Jack is survived by Eleanor; his son Randall and his husband George; his daughter Barbara and her husband Paul; and his brother Jerry and his wife Lori. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and June Lambright.
Jack found joy in the simple things: a well-trimmed hedge, a tool that did its job, and the quiet satisfaction of a day spent working in the yard. He was a man of few words but deep loyalty, always there when it mattered most. His family will remember him for his sharp mind, his steady hand, and the kind of love that didn't need to be spoken to be felt.
Flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home.
In honor of Jack's memory, the family simply asks that you take a moment to fix something that's broken-or at least think about how Jack would have done it. And if you happen to hear a Beach Boys song, go ahead and turn it up-he'd have approved.
