Casucci, Michael J., age 75, of Fair Lawn, on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Michael moved around during his time in the U.S. Navy before settling in Westwood and later Fair Lawn. A Vietnam War Veteran, Michael graduated from Rutgers Law School and worked at the Navy Hospital in Philadelphia as a legal officer and risk manager. An avid reader, Michael enjoyed books based on U.S. history, the U.S. military, and the Roman Empire. Michael also enjoyed collecting stamps from foreign countries, particularly Germany and Israel. He proudly considered himself an Italian Wine Connoisseur.
Michael J. Casucci was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (nee May) Casucci (1999) and the late Victoria (nee Vasile) Casucci (2022). Loving father of Dominick Casucci and his wife Veronica of Mt Arlington and the late Jeffrey Casucci (2021) and his wife Alicia of Atlanta, GA. Grandfather of Joseph, Robert, Isabelle, Jeb, and Dario. Predeceased by his siblings Toni Casucci (1996) and James Vincent Casucci (2020). Dear uncle of Fr. Russel Murray, Matthew Murray, and Amanda Casucci. Cousin of Debbie Haynal and her husband John and Vicki.
Funeral will be departing at 9:30am on Friday, April 5, 2024, from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, for a 10:00am funeral mass at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Hillsdale. Cremation will take place privately. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Navy Relief Fund or to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
