Michael James Champigny, Jr., beloved husband of Patricia (Wagner) Champigny passed away on June 8, 2025 peacefully at home in his sleep. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on March 1, 1967, he was the son of the late Michael J. Champigny, Sr. and Elizabeth Anderson.
Mike was a longtime resident of Meriden. He worked at Westfield Nursing Home, Apple Rehab in West Haven as a Maintenance Supervisor Whispering Pines in East Haven and a Franchise Owner for Jani-King. Mike enjoyed photography, hiking, bodybuilding, Rock music, especially KISS, and smoking his cigar but most of all, spending time in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Mike was a devoted family man, loving husband and hard-working. He was the sweetest soul, the kindest person and everyone adored him.
Besides his loving wife, Patricia, he is survived by three daughters, Brittany (James), Alyssa (Ryan), and Olivia; his step-daughter, Julie Andrews (Christopher) and a bonus daughter, Alayla Hedlund; his two sons, Ryan and Devon Champigny; two sisters, Kimberly Naross (Johnny) and Deborah Champigny and two brothers, John Hedlund (Melissa) and Matthew Champigny (Christa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two children, Kayla and David.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. The burial will be held privately.
