Michael Champigny Obituary
Mike was a longtime resident of Meriden. He worked at Westfield Nursing Home, Apple Rehab in West Haven as a Maintenance Supervisor Whispering Pines in East Haven and a Franchise Owner for Jani-King. Mike enjoyed photography, hiking, bodybuilding, Rock music, especially KISS, and smoking his cigar but most of all, spending time in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Mike was a devoted family man, loving husband and hard-working. He was the sweetest soul, the kindest person and everyone adored him.
Besides his loving wife, Patricia, he is survived by three daughters, Brittany (James), Alyssa (Ryan), and Olivia; his step-daughter, Julie Andrews (Christopher) and a bonus daughter, Alayla Hedlund; his two sons, Ryan and Devon Champigny; two sisters, Kimberly Naross (Johnny) and Deborah Champigny and two brothers, John Hedlund (Melissa) and Matthew Champigny (Christa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two children, Kayla and David.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. The burial will be held privately.

I worked with Mikey for several years at Apple in West Haven. He was the nicest guy with the biggest heart. We'd get lunch on Thursdays from Sandy's. They'd have a soup & sandwich special.
He loved his children. I remember we had a baby shower for him when Patricia was pregnant with Olivia. He was such a a good sport. He even wore a tee shirt with "baby on board" through the whole event. He was a great Dad, Husband & Friend. He will truly be missed

Worked with Mike many of yrs. at Apple rehab West Haven,he was always joking and making you laugh, really good guy always talking about his children he loved so much also his wife Patricia his family was everything.Sure will be missed by many

I´m so sorry to hear the passing of Michael.
Mike was in one of my classes at Maloney High School.
Mike and my mom worked together at Westfield Manor. Great man!!
