Mr. Michael Alan "Mike" Clozza, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, in
Orange Park, Florida. He was 75 years old.
Born on January 27, 1951, in
Highland Park, Michigan, to Albert and Georgia Clozza, Mike grew up with a strong sense of dedication and a passion for learning. He pursued studies in Pre-Law, Business Management, and Aircraft Mechanics-fields that reflected his diverse interests and determination to excel.
Mike proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for ten years. During his service, he was attached to the CVA-66 USS America and NAS Oceana's Attack Squadron 176. His commitment and skill earned him the National Defense Service Medal and the rank of AMH2 (E6) before receiving an Honorable Discharge. His time in the Navy fostered a lifelong love of aircraft and instilled values of hard work and perseverance that defined his life.
Following his military service, Mike continued his career as a Civil Service Aircraft Mechanic until his retirement in 2014. His expertise and dedication were evident throughout his professional journey. In addition to his work as a mechanic, Mike channeled his creativity into owning and operating Clozza Ceramics for over a decade. Through this venture, he manufactured and sold handcrafted ceramics that brought joy to many.
Mike's hobbies reflected his deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship. He enjoyed working on models, admiring vintage aircraft and classic cars, listening to timeless oldies music, and spending time at the movies with his wives over the years. Above all else, he cherished moments spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren-his pride in them was immeasurable.
Family was central to Mike's life. He is survived by his children: Angela Curvier (Andre Cassiano), Michelle Horning, Terry Grau, and Mary Hazen; his sister Connie Lynn (Jim Lynn); grandchildren James Curvier (Cassandra), Anthony Curvier (Meghan), Alexander Curvier, Aubrey Kelley, Jasmine, Amber, Jennings, Shiloh, Hayley, Cody; great-grandchildren Averly and Selah; as well as many more family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He is reunited in peace with those who predeceased him: his parents Albert and Georgia; brothers Donald, Douglas, James, Dennis, Albert Jr., Gregory; wives Alice, Carol, Kathi; daughter Dawn; along with other loved ones who preceded him.
Mike's legacy is one of unwavering dedication-to his family, to his work, to his passions-and he will be remembered as a hardworking man who was deeply loved by all who knew him.
May Michael Alan Clozza's memory bring comfort to those who mourn him today and inspire gratitude for the time shared with such an extraordinary man.
