Michael J. Connaughton, 70, of Beverly, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Marie (Clougher) and Harry Connaughton.
Michael grew up in Beverly. He loved spending his summers at Dane Street Beach, taking long walks around Beverly and watching his beloved sports teams on television.
Michael is survived by his two brothers, Jon Connaughton and his wife Janice of Beverly and Harry Connaughton and his wife Susan of Port St. Lucie, FL and his three sisters, Judith Connaughton, Marie Connaughton and Carol Connaughton all of Beverly. He was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Harry Connaughton and his two brothers, Peter Connaughton and Mark Connaughton.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Michael announced at a later date. Contributions may be made in his memory to Beverly Bootstraps at wwwbeverlybootstraps.org.

I have known Mike for close to 60 years. Always got along with him very well. Every time I get back to Beverly I make it a point to visit him.
I am going to miss our visits and phone calls. Mikey RIP
