Michael Vincent Cooke, age 74, entered the lords arms on December 18th at 2:02 PM surrounded by his family in Stockton Missouri where he resided for the final years of his life. After many years of battling Cancer, COPD, Emphysema, and a slew of health issues related to his cancer, he fought long and hard just like his family always knew him to. Michael "Mike" Cooke was preceded in death by his father Thomas Corbet Cooke SR, his mother Rita Catherine Koby, and his precious Great Granddaughter Penelope Rita Allman
Survived by his brother Thomas Corbet Cooke JR. and wife Carmen Cooke, Sister Pamela Jane Lord (Cooke) and husband Mike Lord, daughter Rita Margaret Tratz (Cooke), son Michael Vincent Cooke Jr., daughter Samantha Eileen Cooke, his seven grandchildren Jasmine, Rosie, Stella, Daisey, Michael, Molli, Crash and his fifteen great grandchildren.
Mike was known for his larger than life personality, he was a friend to all and did not go a single day without getting everyone around him to belly laugh at least once. One of his favorite daily routines were driving into the town of Stockton with his daughter Rita or his granddaughter Molli and he made his stops at Woodys gas station, Woods grocery store, great southern bank, his best friend Scott's house and the drive through at the Squirrel coffee. He always made sure to stop and talk with all of his people and make their days a little funnier. If you knew Mike you can vividly remember his laugh, and his mischievous nature constantly playing pranks or coming up with a joke. Something that Mike was known for was being a steadfast pillar to his family, while life was not easy for him he still made sure to be present for his loved ones always. His daughter Rita and granddaughter Molli are so thankful and blessed that they were able to care for Mike till the very end at home in his own bed, surrounded by family that loved him till his very last breath.
His grandchildren remember him as "Bapoo" the grandfather who did not have a serious bone in his body and was sure to bring life, love, and laughter every day.
In his final days he said "Well this is the end of Mike Cooke, I sure did it.", the legacy of Mike will never be gone. He lives on through his family and friends & the many memories they all hold close to them. Long Live Big Crazy Mike.
