Michael Corcoran

Concord, NH - Michael A. Corcoran, 56, passed away with his family by his side on July 7, 2024 in the comfort of his own home.

Born on June 22, 1968 in Concord, the son of Sandra (Towle) Schwarz and the late John Corcoran. Michael was raised in Bow, and was a graduate of Concord High School Class of 1987. He went on to pursue a degree in Fire Science, building a 30+ year long career as a fireman for the Town of Bow and eventually retiring from the City of Concord.

Michael was a true outdoorsman and loved an adrenaline rush. He wanted to do anything where he could go fast. Some of his favorite activities were mountain biking, skiing, and ice climbing. When he did take a moment to slow down, he loved to spend his time outdoors camping and hiking. Michael also enjoyed music and during his younger days spent many hours playing his drum set in the family basement. He was dedicated to his career and his family and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his sons, Nicholas and Brandon Corcoran of Concord; granddaughter Brandi Corcoran; mother Sandra Schwarz and step father Allan Schwarz of Concord; sister Jennifer Corcoran-Lahey and her wife Mary of Weare; step brother Jonathan Schwarz of RI; and step sister Sarah Schwarz of CT. He is predeceased by his father John Corcoran.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 17th from 9:00am-11:00am at The Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Interment at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
