Michael L. Corsini

Michael L. Corsini, 67, a lifelong resident of Easton, passed away on January 29, 2025. He was the husband of Claire Kilawee.
Born in Brockton, a son of the late Leon and Jane (Plunket) Corsini, he was raised in Easton and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1975.
A proud "gate house kid," Michael followed in his father's footsteps, beginning his career with an internship at MCI Cedar Junction while finishing his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1987.
He went on to serve the Commonwealth for 37 years, dedicating much of his career to corrections leadership. As Superintendent, he guided his teams with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to justice. His expertise extended beyond Massachusetts, as he lent his knowledge to prisons nationwide through audit and consulting work.
Michael was a respected leader and a man who balanced his professional dedication with a deep love for his family. He was a proud member of the Easton Historical Society and the American Correctional Association. In retirement, he found joy in gardening, skiing, dancing, and cooking and was always up for a concert of any genre.
In addition to his wife Claire, he is survived by two children, Mia Corsini Bailey and her husband David of Kingston and Liam Corsini of Norton; his siblings, Anne Hutchinson of Easton, Melon Corsini of Supply, NC., Timothy Corsini of Berkley, and Christopher Corsini of Hull; he leaves behind many loved nieces, and nephews, and many lifelong friends from his hometown of Easton and beyond.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral service at Noon in the funeral home.
