Michael (Red) Cunningham, age 88, a proud lifelong resident of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, October15, 2025 at his seasonal home in Bradenton FL after a 10 month battle with kidney cancer.
Loving father of Christine (David) Riedel, Michael S. (Norma) Cunningham, Patricia Cunningham and Timothy (Stacie) Cunningham. Survived by his former wife and dear friend, Lee Comport.
Son of the late Catherine & Martin Cunningham. Brother of Thomas (Sharon) Cunningham and preceded in death by his sister Barbara Skirda, and brothers Martin (Mary Ann) Cunningham and Dennis Cunningham. Also preceded in death by his wife Beverly Crigler Cunningham.
Proud Grandfather (Biggie) to David (Katie) Riedel, Robert (Jennifer) Riedel, Lauran (Shawn) Michael, Laine Thompson (James Heil), Ellie (Hugh) Brien, Richard Price, Adam Price, Hana Price, Morgan Cunningham and Samantha Cunningham.
Very proud Great Grandfather to Caleb, Josh, Adelyn, Sutter, Avrilynn, Jack, Ivy, Remi, Silas, Hugh, Margot, Van and Bridget.
Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and especially his beloved “sister” MaryJo Sherrer and dear friend Patricia Matschner.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 10:00 am in Mary Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary of the Mount Church. 407 Grandview Ave. Pgh 15211. Burial will be private to the family.
