Michael Raymond Currier

Michael Raymond Currier, 60, of 618 Berman Clayton Rd., Timberlake, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Born in Person County, he was the son of the late James Thomas Currier and Mildred "Tillie" Goman Alberga Currier. Michael was a Deputy Sheriff Officer with the Person County Sheriffs' Office. He was an avid weightlifter, yet a simple man. He was the former owner of Clarksville Station. He loved going to the beach. He was a larger than life individual with an even bigger heart. You may know him by "Scary Big", "Big Mike", or his favorite name "Big Papa", but however you knew him was to love him. He never put himself first and was quick to give his hand or heart to you for whatever you needed.
Surviving are his wife, Melissa Brann Currier of the home; three children: Rachel Currier Blizzard and husband, Tyler, Leah Currier and Austin Currier; three step-children, Madeline Henderson and husband Bryce, Brannon Erdner and Sophie Erdner; four siblings and their spouses: Robert "Bobby" Bruce Currier and wife, Gaye, Roger "Skeeta" Andrew Currier and wife, Rhonda, James Clifford Currier and Mary Helen Williams and husband, David; three grandchildren: Roe, Ruby Mae and Eck Blizzard.
Memorial services will be held 3PM Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Roxboro Baptist Church by the Dr. DuPre Sanders. The family will receive friends from 2-3PM Sunday prior to the service. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so from 9-2PM Saturday, at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Person County Emergency Services.
