Michael David Curry, 74, of Bloomington passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and his fur baby, Carla.
Michael was born in Bloomington on December 16, 1950, to Foster E and FreDonna Curry. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1969 and was a member of the Local Carpenters Union #1664.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Foster E Curry; his daughter, Brooke Deckard (Curry); his sister, Teresa Hinkle (Curry); Granddaughter, Morgan Rose Deckard; his Grandson, Brycen Michael Ferguson and brother-in-law (friend-in-law) Barry Sexton.
Michael is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rebecca Curry (McArtor); his mother, FreDonna Curry; his son, Michael Ryan Curry; his daughter, Carey Lynn Curry; his adopted granddaughters, Kamryn Brooke Deckard-Curry, Sydney Foster Deckard-Curry, and Isabella Lee Deckard-Curry; his brother, Foster Eugene Curry, Jr. (Gene); his sisters, Janet Curry and LeeAnn Sexton and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Michael worked and retired from Foster E Curry Construction where he had spent his entire career. He loved spending time outdoors golfing, boating, hunting, fishing, grilling, and working in the yard. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and taking long walks with his fur baby Carla.
Michael was a wonderful husband, father (Dad), Grandfather (Papaw) and dear friend to many. His passing has left a huge hole in all our hearts, and we will forever be grateful for the time we had with him. We love you and you will forever be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Derek and Abby George of the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care at 527 15th street in Bedford, Indiana.
