Michael Cusano Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 7, 2025.
Michael F. Cusano
Michael F. Cusano, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday night. He was born in Roswell, Ohio, and raised in New Philadelphia. Michael was married to Elizabeth "Libby" Cusano for 52 years. Together, they raised three daughters-Michelle, Amy, and Lyndsay. He was also a proud father-in-law to Derek Mendez, married to Michelle.
Michael loved being a dad to his three "crazy girls." He created a childhood full of laughter and fun for them.
He loved golfing, especially with his best friend Jim Steen, spending time with family and friends, and sitting on his front porch watching the world go by. He worked hard throughout his career as a Business Systems Analyst at Diebold, where he eventually retired.
Michael will be remembered for his sense of humor, his calm and steady presence, and most of all, for being the best dad three daughters could ever ask for.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocco "Rocky" and Rena Cusano; his brother, Rocco "Rocky" Gene Cusano; and his father- and mother-in-law, Carl and Mary Lou Baxter.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the compassionate nurses and staff at Aultman Hospice for their exceptional care, kindness, and support during Michael's final days.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held later next year to honor and remember him the way he lived-surrounded by love, laughter, and family.
Donations in Michael's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Aultman Hospice.

Yesterday

Mike was true friend and coworker. We spent a lot of time together enjoying each others company, playing golf or whatever. I will truly miss my friend.
