Michael Keith Davis passed away tragically on April 3, 2023. He was only 57. Michael was born on October 13, 1965, to Donald K. Davis and Theresa Lizzio in
Queens, NY. Michael was raised in Queens until he was 12 years old. At that time, the family, which now included his younger sister, Dawn, moved to Florida.
Michael graduated from Nova High School in
Davie, Florida where he created lifelong friendships. As a young adult, Michael had a wide array of jobs. He loved working at Doris Italian Market, enjoyed his time doing water sports trade shows, and found his groove as a recording artist in the rap group, Underground Funk; he even toured with Downtown Julie Brown. Michael found his niche as an electrician and had recently started his own electrical company, Suncoast Power. Michael was a hardworking man of strong character who always gave 110%. Regardless of the work he was doing, Michael quickly became an asset to colleagues and customers alike.
Michael was a beautiful person inside and out. He had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. Michael was a sensitive and private person but had an exceptional sense of humor and cared so deeply for the people around him. Michael was strong-willed and stubborn but was unafraid of speaking up for what he believed in. Michael faced challenges in his life but found comfort in the Lord and his family and friends. His strength undoubtedly helped him deal with life's challenges.
Michael enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, and telling stories. He loved to cook and especially loved to barbecue. Michael's steaks were the best, even though he wouldn't cook them beyond medium temperature.
Michael was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend; his presence will be forever missed by all that knew him.
Michael is survived by his mother, Theresa Buchsbaum of Tamarac; his sister Dawn E. Davis (Gary Lamberg) of Sunrise; and his niece, Isabella Lamberg of Sunrise. He is forever remembered by his former spouse, Amy Hoffman, and many aunts and cousins.
