Michael Maria Davis Potter "Mike"
Of Harrodsburg, formerly Lexington, passed away Monday, January 12 in her home at the age of 75. Mike was born in Versailles, KY on April 28, 1950 to parents Doug Davis Jr. and Dorothy Peterson Davis on what came to be High Hope Farm. Growing up as a horse trainers daughter she developed a love of everything equestrian, and for all animals in general. She would later become well known for a menagerie of pets, notably her pot bellied pig "Spam" that she would walk on a leash. She was an avid hobbyist, excelling in needlepoint, knitting, calligraphy, gardening, photography and most anything she set her mind to. She was also a devoted Christian, who spent years working at Southland and Northeast Christian churches. She lived on Lake Herrington for some time and had many fond memories there. She eventually moved to Harrodsburg where she found a supportive community. She is survived by her son, Martin Lewis Voiers,III (Shawna), daughters Davis Potter Veljkovic, And Gwendolyn Beresford Potter (Frank Aubrey, III), three grandchildren, Caleb Sexton Voiers, Magdelene Voiers Stamper (Devon), and Jack White Veljkovic. The family would like to thank everyone who was ever a friend to Mike. She was an intense, loyal, intelligent human and definitely a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed. Visitation services will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral, Main Street Lexington location on Friday, January 23, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A private burial will be held at Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Versailles at a later date.
