Richard Hulon Wiggins

WIGGINS, Richard Hulon, 78, husband of Anna Margaret Wiggins, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, in Lexington, KY. He was born February 13, 1948, in Oliver Springs, TN, to the late Ralph and Ethel Wiggins. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in Vietnam. He enjoyed collecting coins and watching westerns, especially ones with John Wayne. Richard was an amateur carpenter who could seemingly build anything. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Mary (William Paul) Cox and Jamie (Jesse Patrick) Cody; grandchildren, Clayton Richard Wiggins Cox, Ashley Michael Cody, Damien Edward Cody, and Isis Autumn Rae Cody; sisters, Peggy (Michael) Mahoney, Nancy (Richard) Chambers, and Janice (Marvin) Huskins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, Richard is preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas, Howard, and Jim. A 2:00pm service will take place Friday, February 27, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12-2pm Friday, at the funeral home.
