Martin Lester "Marty" Wiggins

Martin "Marty" Lester Wiggins, age 56, passed away at home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Cynthiana, KY. He was born on March 1, 1969, in Cynthiana, KY, to John and Sherry Whitehead Wiggins. Marty was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Wiggins; and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Peggy Carson.

Marty is survived by his parents; his loving wife of 34 years, Patty Carson Wiggins; a son, Andrew Lester Wiggins; a daughter, Courtney Lavonne Wiggins; brother, Jonathon (Amber) Wiggins; and his only granddaughter, Charlotte Lee Wiggins. Charlotte was a Godsend to Marty and Patty, she is loved beyond.

An avid traveling dart player, he was even voted into the hall of fame for this. Marty was a UK fan and also enjoyed playing golf and was a believer in Big Foot. Even though his family and friends would often play jokes on him about Big Foot, it was all had in good fun. Marty loved his family and spending time with each of them. Those who know him will miss him dearly.

A service for Marty will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Ware Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held the evening prior, Sunday, February 8, 2026, also at Ware Funeral Home, beginning at 4:00 P.M. and lasting until 7:00 P.M. Pastor Jason Barrett will lead services for the Wiggins family, and burial will follow services in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers for the Wiggins family will be Andrew Wiggins, Josh Carson, Myron Fryer, Mitch Payton, Mike Moore, Dale Thompson, Nicholas Carson, Tyler Carson, and Derrick Knipper. Honorary pallbearers will include Nathaniel Carson, Landon Carson, Dalton Carson, Michael Booth, Gary Smith, and his Dart Brothers.
