Michael Wayne Dean, age 58, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born to Kyle Wyatt Dean and Carol Nan Cox on June 11, 1966, in Granger, Utah. He married Lourdes Gutierrez on June 4, 2002.
Michael loved the outdoors, from fly fishing, golfing, camping, and hunting deer and elk, but his love and passion was racing modified and sprint cars. Michael started his career in the painting business, then went to local 312 Sheet Metal Union, where he became a journeyman until his retirement in 2020.
Michael is survived by his wife, Lourdes, his son, Andrew, sister, Karyle (Richard), brothers, Kyle (Janet), Billy, Terry, nieces, nephews and his dog, Cameo.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kyle Wyatt Dean, his mother, Carol Nan Cox, and brother, Douglas Kyle Dean and nephew Harley Dean.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery at 3115 Eash 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.) Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The interment will follow the funeral services from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
