Michael R. Denoncourt was born on August 22, 1965, in Ogdensburg, NY. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Ellen (Gaffney) Denoncourt. He was a 1985 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Mike worked for Great American and Jubilee grocery stores as a stockman for several years. On July 19, 1996, Mike married Karen Bentley at St. Mary's Cathedral. The couple would reside in Massena for several years, where Mike worked for Slavin's Furniture Store and AAA Lumber. Mike and Karen would eventually move back to Ogdensburg. In Mike's younger years, he rode a Moped everywhere, he was an excellent Bowler and competed in the local Ogdensburg Bowling League. He was a very social individual, visiting with people almost everywhere he went. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Cathedral and attended Mass regularly. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed eating at local establishments in Ogdensburg, especially the Freight House and Phillips's Diner, and going for rides around town to see what was going on. He was a lifelong fan of Professional Wrestling, the New York Yankees and the Montreal Canadiens.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Denoncourt, his children: Anthony Dusharm, Mary Dusharm and Madison Dusharm, his siblings: Denise (Frederick) Barse of Morristown and Knoxville, TN, Joseph G. (Jennifer) Denoncourt of Ogdensburg, and Danielle Denoncourt of Ogdensburg. He is survived by his uncle, Roger (Jeannine) Denoncourt of Manchester, NH, Aunt Pauline Denoncourt of Manchester, NH, and Merrill Shipman of Simpsonville, SC. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Ellen Denoncourt, his sister, Myra Pitcher, and his brother, Patrick Denoncourt.

My deepest sympathy to Karen and his children and family. Mike was a good friend to me and to anyone lucky enough to be his friend. No matter where I happened to be, he always acknowledged me with a smile and made me feel that he was truly glad to see me. Mike would help anyone who needed his help without expecting anything except a thank you. May God comfort all who mourn him and help them get through this difficult time. Karen, if you need me, I'll be there for you always. God bless you all. Rest in peace, Mike.
