It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael James DePrima, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Born on September 13, 1964, in Reston, Virginia, Michael left this world on August 20, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him.
Michael was a devoted husband to Carrie Colleen DePrima, and together they created a household filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. As a father, he was both nurturing and encouraging, fostering the dreams and ambitions of his sons, Joseph Michael and Benjamin James DePrima. Michael took immense pride in their achievements and was always cheering them on, embodying the essence of support that only a great father can provide.
He was the son of Joseph and Veva (nee Hisaw) DePrima, who instilled in him values of integrity and kindness. Michael's legacy continues through them and resonates in the hearts of his brothers, Steven and Tim DePrima. They shared countless moments as siblings, building an unbreakable bond that will forever transcend the boundaries of life.
Michael was not just a family man; he was also a cherished uncle to Cella, Paul, Caroline, and Douglas DePrima. His playful spirit and gentle guidance added depth to their lives, leaving lasting impressions that they will carry forward.
A man of many interests, Michael had a deep passion for the worlds of Star Trek and Star Wars, where he found a sense of adventure and imagination that inspired those around him. His love for baseball further showcased his spirited nature and brought joy not only to his own life but to the lives of friends and family alike. Whether he was sharing a memorable game, engaging in a friendly debate about the best sci-fi universe, or simply enjoying a day with his family, Michael always lit up the room with his infectious enthusiasm and warmth.
As we remember Michael James DePrima, we hold close the memories of his unwavering love, his delightful spirit, and the joy he shared. He has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, and while he may be gone from this earth, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our memories. We celebrate the life he lived and the love he gave, knowing that he will always be with us in our hearts.
