Michael DiVece Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on May 7, 2025.
Michael A. DiVece, Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at the age of 93.
Michael was the cherished husband of 47 years of Kathleen J. (nee Kurka) DiVece. He was a devoted father to his children, Debbie Devlin, Michael DiVece and his wife Gina, Shawn DiVece and his wife Kellie, Anthony Coia and step daughter, Nichole Mathieu. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Rose DiVece, his two brothers, one sister, and his daughter, Donna Devlin. Michael's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Dominique, Nikki, Taylor, Danny, Avery, Brayley, and Casey, and his great-grandchildren, Maddie and Elysia.
Michael's early years were spent in Philadelphia, and after high school, he entered the US Army, proudly serving during the Korean War. Upon returning from service, Michael spent his working career with Pennsylvania RR, Penn Central and Conrail, retiring as Rate Analyst, after 45 years of employment. He went on to work at Wawa where he enjoyed serving coffee and conversations with the customers.
He raised his family first in Pennsauken and later in Marlton. An avid baseball player, Michael played minor league baseball for the Philadelphia Athletics and later in local leagues like Lombardi's Tavern Softball League which played in an exclusive tournament that included only 48 teams from around the United States. Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed participating in numerous bowling leagues. He made many friendships and shared great moments on the baseball diamonds and the bowling lanes. He will be missed at morning coffee and breakfast with the gang at McDonald's. This brought him joy every day. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and time spent with them. He is forever remembered and loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday May 12 from 10-11am at St. Joan of Arc Church where a Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project woundedwarriorproject.org
