Michael Donnelly Obituary
Mike was the beloved husband of Dawn (Cornish) Donnelly, and a devoted father to Terra (Andy) Donnelly and Michael Donnelly. He was a proud grandfather to Gavin, who brought him endless joy.
He is survived by his sister Maureen Dunlavy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Rossiter) Donnelly and Joseph Donnelly, and his siblings Pat (Nancy) Donnelly, Kathy Donnelly, Colleen (Dave) McCoy, Charlie Donnelly, and Joseph Donnelly.
Mike had a deep love for the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, while he tolerated the Detroit Lions . Mike could often be found sitting by the water with a Miller Lite, surrounded by family and friends. He cherished Wednesday night trivia, music, golf, coffee with his buddies, and most of all, hosting parties-a role he wore proudly and joyfully.
Visitation will be held at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (three blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica, Michigan, on Monday, February 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 10, at 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 10 a.m.

Our hearts go out to the Donnelly family. Mike was truly one of the best of the best. We had great times playing softball together and re-hashing the game at the K o fC afterwards. So many good times. And, we hold dear the memories of our young families spending Memorial Day weekends together, how he came to our new house years ago and put together our kids' beds, how he graciously would DJ parties and even did so at school dances at the old St.Dennis. But, most of all, we will remember him just as we see him in the picture at the top of this page - his face reflecting the kindness he ALWAYS extended to everyone.
