Michael “Mike Scott Dorsett, 61, passed away on October 18th, 2024,
Mike was born January 12th, 1963 in Odessa, TX and raised in Austin, TX by Wayne and Elaine Dorsett with his sister Kerri.
He attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abeline, TX where he met Darla. They soon married and had his eldest son Ethan. They moved to Fort Worth which he called home for most of his life.
During his time in Fort Worth, Mike became an active member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, “Jaycees”. It was there that he met the love of his life, Laura and her daughter Bailey Ann, through their mutual friend Patty Forester. They created a home together and had a welcome addition with their son Jake. They were together for 28 loving years.
Mike had a long career in sales/ retail and never knew a stranger.
Mike is survived by wife Laura, son and daughter-in-law Ethan and Alyssa Dorsett, daughter Bailey Ann, son Jake, sister and brother- in -law Kerri and Mike Hassler, and nephew Brandon Dorsett.
The Celebration of Life will be on November 16th from 3pm-6pm at Ethan and Alyssa Dorsett’s home. Please private message or text Ethan Dorsett (817-584-3534) for the address.
