Michael C. Drumm, 74, of Reynolds, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 31, 1950 in Marion, OH to the late Richard and Mary Beth (Coldren) Drumm. On June 20, 1981, he married the former Candise (Elmore) in Monon. They later divorced, but remained close friends. She survives.
Michael worked as a heavy equipment operator starting out for Spark Kelly Construction and then the State Highway Department. Later, he worked for the Union of Operating Engineers out of Kokomo where he retired as a crane and steam roller operator.
Michael loved his outdoor hobbies of gardening, mushroom hunting, fishing, bird watching, planting trees and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He liked playing pool and cards with friends. He was a supporter of the Audubon Society and Arbor Foundation. He also loved his three cats.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Beth Drumm (fiancé, Charles Phelps) of Monticello; sister, Melanie (John) Penman of Victoria British Columbia, Canada; and former wife and close friend, Candise Melton of Monon.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Woody" Drumm.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with pastor Russ Alley officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in rural Monticello.
