Michael Dumes Obituary
Mr. Dumes honorably served his country in the Navy and later worked as an airline mechanic for Eastern Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Lockheed Martin Marietta Georgia.
The graveside inurnment service, with military honors, is 3 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Georgia National Cemetery. Rather than flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to either the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

Survivors include wife of 54 years, Linda Saunders Dumes; daughters, Heidi (Kyle) Jackson, and Kimberly Dumes; grandchildren, Kendall Jackson, Conner Jackson, Gavin Davis, Garrett Davis; brothers, Ricky Dumes, Randy Dumes; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help anybody in need.

Mike and I met in the 80s at Eastern, he transferred from ORD and me from MIA. Two new guys became friends right away and then to NWA same time, he and his family were easy to be friends with. The time at lunch in the hangar when he opened his sandwich and "oh no anther Peanut Butter and Jelly" and someone chimed in with "I´d tell her a thing or two" and Mike says my wife is a flight attendant and I make the lunches. Loved those days.
