Mikey will always be remembered for his impeccable ability to make people laugh with his wit, sarcasm and storytelling; his love for the New England Patriots, the Grateful Dead and the New York Yankees; and being the proud father to his son Jake.
Mikey is survived by his son: Jacob Eckstein of Addison; his parents: Michael and Ellen Eckstein of Addison; and his siblings: Sarah (Scott) Visbeek of Uxbridge, MA, Katie Eckstein of Newton, MA, Daniel (Bianca) Eckstein of Colorado Springs, CO; his nieces and nephews: Margaret, Caleb, Timothy, Matthew, Luis, and Evangeline, along with many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Saturday, June 24 from Noon-3:00pm. A private family graveside service will be held in St. Catherine's Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention online at AFSP.org, or Arbor Housing and Development, 26 Bridge St, Corning, NY 14830 in memory of Mikey Eckstein.

I was a friend of Mike's in college. He always seemed to be happy. Looking at the picture you have posted here reminded me of his smile. I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope he and your family find peace.
