It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Endicott of Owatonna, MN. He passed away on December 19, 2024, at his home while peacefully shoveling the driveway with his wife. He was 75.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Endicott, of Owatonna; his oldest daughter, Jill Thorson (husband Jon Thorson); his youngest daughter, Jodi Endicott; his three grandchildren, Natalie Thorson, Nikole Thorson, and Zackary Thorson; and his sister, Michelle Reed (Robert).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Berwyn and Delores Endicott, and his brother, John Endicott.
Mike dedicated 16 years of his career to Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and another 16 years to Owatonna High School. Alongside his wife, Sue, he also owned and operated Kustom Katerers for 16 years.
Mike had a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was proud of all their academic and musical accomplishments. He was a devout Christian, having asked Jesus into his heart at a young age. Mike also had a passion for cars, particularly Corvettes. Whenever a Corvette passed by, his head would always turn to admire it.
Mike grew up in the Radisson/Winter area in Wisconsin and graduated from Winter, WI, Public High School. He went on to attend Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, MN, and then on to a vocational school where he obtained his degree in Auto Mechanics. In 1971, he moved to MT to join his parents. He later met Susan Reeverts, and they were married on August 19, 1972. In 1984, the family moved to Owatonna. Mike and Sue had always wanted to be close to Pillsbury Baptist Bible College to enable the family to attend the college. Mike began working for Pillsbury as a maintenance and custodial worker. When Pillsbury closed, Mike took a job at OHS as head of the Custodial Department, from which he later retired. Mike and Sue took over Kustom Katerers as a couple and worked very hard together to make it a successful business.
Mike and Sue have been members of Grace Baptist for 40 years where Mike served as a deacon and very happily served as an usher as often as possible. He was also a member of the Coffee Cowboys, a group of men that got together and joked and laughed.
In the last days, Mike was doing a Bible study on Esther and on his last day on earth he finished his study. We can say with great pride that he loved Jesus.
The family would like to invite you to join them for a Celebration of Life on December 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church (265 26th St, Owatonna). There will be lunch served after.
