Michael Erhart ObituaryMichael H. Erhart, age 82, of Erie, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, after an extended illness. He was born on May 12, 1943, son of the late Charles and Olga PolagyiErhart Marcolini.
After serving in the Navy, Mike briefly worked as a cook for Howard Johnson's. Then, having passed the U.S. Postal Service exam, he gladly delivered mail to Erie households and businesses for the next 35 years. He enjoyed sports, especially college football and basketball. He played Little League where he met his future brother-in-law, Gary Wolf. Eventually, he coached Boy's Baseball with his late friend Nick Biebel,including a perfect 20-0 season with the 1980 School Picturesteam. Although he never got to watch his favorite Browns in the Super Bowl, he did get to watch every episode of Law and Order, six times. He enjoyed washing his car, working around his house and playing with the dog. He loved popcorn, iced teaand fettuccini alfredo. He liked hanging out at the VFW Post 470, playing cards and going to the casino. Most of all, he just loved being with his family and friends. We loved him. He is greatly missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Giacobello); his sister Arlene Rodgers (Charles); his niece Bonnie Moss (Ed); and two nephews Raymond and Howard Hayes. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Steven (Lee Katherine); his wife Jeanie; stepdaughter, Karen (Zonno); his grandson Aaron; his grandson's mom Eileen; his niece Lisa DiLuzio (Jim) and great niece Erica Their (Greg).
Family and Friends may call on Saturday, August 9th at the Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. from 1:00pm until the time of the service at 2:00pm.
