Michael P. Esker, 63 of Elmore passed away on June 28, 2025 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on August 21, 1961 to Stanley and Ruth Esker in Fremont.
Mike graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1979. He was eclectic, artistic person who enjoyed painting, crafting, songwriting, and creating puppets in his spare time. He shared his creations with the world through his YouTube channel, This Old Geek. Mike had a love of horror, fantasy, and sci-fi, which is evident in the art that he created. His children will always think of him when they hear the band, Rush.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ruth Esker; children, Bradley Esker, Megan Esker, and Morgan Copsey; 6 grandchildren; and siblings, Greg Esker, Douglas Esker, Denise Oberhaus, and Robert Esker.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Esker; and brother, Shawn Esker.
A time of visiting and sharing memories will be held on Wednesday, July 2, from 3:00-7:00pm at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg.
Memorial Donations may be directed to the Esker Family, in care of his son, Bradley Esker.
