Michael Jared Fahrney

Michael Jared Fahrney, 38, of Amherst, passed away at his home on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Born on October 15, 1985, in Canton, OH, Michael had been a resident of Amherst for the past three years after relocating from San Diego, CA.
He was the owner and operator of Mike's Mobile Tax Service and also worked as a skilled carpenter for various contractors.
Michael's greatest passion was his children, with whom he cherished spending time. He found joy in simple pleasures, like sitting by the fire listening to music, especially when his daughter, Camryn, played the guitar and sang. He shared a passion for art and fishing with his daughter, Blakely. He loved teaching his son, Declan, how to play chess and throw the baseball. He also enjoyed lively games of Oh Heck with family and friends. An outdoor enthusiast, Michael also enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking (he was a true grill master), and gardening.
He is survived by his beloved children, Camryn, Blakely, and Declan Fahrney; his mother, Kimberly (Kevin) Norris of Lorain; his father, James Randal (Missy) Fahrney of Berlin; his sisters, Jamie Forrest of Amherst and Abigail (P.J.) Lucas of MD; his brothers, Steven (Edith) Fahrney and Jason Fahrney, both of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews, Zack, Tori, Logan, Hunter, Kiara, Stella, Tristan, Vincent, and Tamia.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don "Big Fella" and Margaret Rackow, and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Jean Fahrney.
Private services will be held.
To know Michael was to love him. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to support Michael's children's college fund.
