Michael lived in Florida since approximately 1990 and moved to Charlotte with his sister Doris in 2018. He would light up a room with his contagious smile and was always down for an adventure. He loved the Lord, Bible study, and prayer time. He loved spending time with his nieces & nephews and would light up when they were around. He never complained and was always grateful for anything & everything. He was always up for a good joke and a game of Skyjo.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife Linda and his daughter Jessica, his mother Cecile Fillion, who was a Purple Heart and Gold Star recipient, his father Herman Fillion, and his brother William Fillion.
He is survived by his son Rick Fillion and wife Janice, sister Doris Murray, brothers Bob Fillion and Willard Fillion, nieces & nephews, Natasha, Terri (Ronnie), Tammi (Jeff), Tonya (Benji), Robert, Suzanne, Zane, Andrew, Kaitlyn (Joey), Brittany (Justin), Raymond, Cameron (Aiden), Karla, Peyton, Makenzie, Elliana, Karolina, Thomas, Arlo, Ezra, Noah & Faith (Jayson).
A service to celebrate Michael's life will be held July 19, 2024, at 1 pm and Finish Line Christian Center, 108 N Main St., Mt. Holly, NC, 28120.
